An old news director of mine summed it up best one day when he told me the great thing about this job is the access it provides on the other side of the velvet rope.

That rings true around this time each year as the Cavaliers advance in the playoffs.  My goal over the next few weeks when possible is to bring some of the behind the scenes pics in this Championship Chase.

Round 1 Press Pass for Palace of Auburn Hills

In Round 1 I had the chance to run up to the Palace of Auburn Hills.  It was the first time and I was curious to see the place because I knew that Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert had based alot of what he brought to the “Q” on what they did there.

I was underwhelmed in so many ways by both the facility and the presentation.   They may have set the standard for entertainment value but the Cavs took the ball, ran with it and never looked back.
